Job Description:

The Technical Account Manager is a senior, client-facing role responsible for driving end-to-end business development, revenue growth, and long-term customer relationships across Fortek’s technology-enabled solutions portfolio, with a strong focus on ICT infrastructure, data center solutions, and SLA-driven managed services.

The role requires a strong balance of strategic sales ownership, account management, commercial governance, and delivery coordination, ensuring opportunities are converted into profitable, well-executed projects with strong customer satisfaction and timely revenue realization. The incumbent will work closely with internal engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution from opportunity identification through project delivery and payment closure.

Location: Head Office, Islamabad 
Important Note: This role requires occasional travel across Pakistan for client meetings, project reviews, and business development activities. Candidates must be willing to travel as per business needs.

Job Requirements

  • Base Qualifications:
    • Master Degree
    • Graduate

    Skills & Tools:

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, Computer Systems)

      OR

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration with strong technical exposure

    Key Skills & Competencies

    • Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and enterprise technology solutions

    • Consultative, solution-oriented sales approach

    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

    • Strong commercial, financial, and contract management acumen

    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams

    • High ownership, decision-making ability, and execution focus

    Certifications (Preferred)

    • Project Management certifications (PMP / PRINCE2)

    • IT Service Management certifications (ITIL Foundation or equivalent)

    • Relevant ICT, infrastructure, or vendor-neutral technical certifications


    Job Experience Required:
    • 8–12 years of relevant experience in B2B technology sales, ICT integration, or infrastructure solutions

    • Proven experience managing enterprise accounts and large-value deals

    • Exposure to service-based and SLA-driven engagements is highly desirable

Duties & Responsibilities

    • 1. Business Development & Revenue Ownership
      • Own the complete sales lifecycle from lead and opportunity generation to payment realization

      • Achieve annual sales targets while maintaining minimum benchmark margins

      • Develop and execute account strategies for enterprise, commercial, and institutional clients

      • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across solutions and services

      • Lead pricing strategy, proposal development, and commercial negotiations

      • Maintain a strong, healthy sales pipeline aligned with quarterly and annual forecasts

    • 2. Client Relationship & Account Management

      • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic and key accounts

      • Build and maintain long-term relationships with CXOs, IT heads, and decision-makers

      • Conduct regular client engagement and business review meetings

      • Proactively manage expectations, risks, and escalations

      • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business

    • 3. Project Delivery Oversight & Commercial Governance

      • Oversee project execution from a commercial and client-commitment perspective

      • Ensure adherence to agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and contractual terms

      • Coordinate with internal delivery and engineering teams to resolve execution challenges

      • Take timely decisions when projects face delays, dependency risks, or external constraints

      • Lead negotiations for scope changes, variations, and contractual amendments

      • Ensure smooth handover between sales, delivery, and operations teams

    • 4. SLA & Services Management

      • Support and oversee service-based engagements and SLA-driven contracts

      • Ensure clarity and compliance with defined SLAs, KPIs, and service deliverables

      • Coordinate with operations teams to address recurring service issues

      • Support SLA renewals, extensions, and service enhancements

      • Monitor service profitability and long-term account value

    • 5. Payment Management & Financial Control

      • Lead proactive and disciplined payment follow-ups with clients

      • Ensure timely invoicing in coordination with finance and project teams

      • Monitor receivables aging and mitigate payment risks

      • Escalate delayed or disputed payments and support resolution through negotiation

      • Maintain accurate revenue recognition and cash flow forecasting

    • 6. CRM, Reporting & Sales Governance

      • Ensure timely and accurate updates of all sales activities in CRM systems

      • Maintain detailed documentation for proposals, contracts, and approvals

      • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports

      • Track KPIs related to pipeline health, closures, margins, and collections

      • Support management reviews, audits, and internal governance processes

    • 7. Market Intelligence & Strategic Support

      • Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer requirements

      • Provide market feedback to management for solution and pricing optimization

      • Support development of new offerings, bundled solutions, and go-to-market strategies

      • Represent Fortek professionally in client meetings and industry engagements

    Engage with clients and prospects through meetings, calls, and follow-ups
    Coordinate internally on active opportunities and running projects
    Update CRM with lead status, opportunity progress, and client interactions
    Track project execution and payment commitments

    Review pipeline, deal progression, and associated risks
    Conduct coordination meetings with Pre-Sales, Technical & Projects and finance teams
    Follow up on pending payments, approvals, and project milestones
    Review SLA performance and client feedback

    Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports
    Review margins, cost variations, and revenue realization
    Conduct structured account review meetings with key clients
    Support management with strategic planning and revenue projections
