Job Description:

The Supervisor / Site Engineer – HVAC is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing HVAC project execution and operational performance for data center and mission-critical infrastructure environments. The role requires strong technical oversight, team leadership, client coordination, and structured reporting to ensure quality, safety, and SLA compliance.

Job Location

Head Office (Islamabad) with frequent/occasional travel to project sites across Pakistan.

Candidate must be willing to travel nationwide as per business requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Base Qualifications:
    • Diploma
    • Graduate

    Skills & Tools:

    Qualifications

    • DAE / Diploma in Mechanical / HVAC Engineering

      OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

    Certifications (Preferred)

    • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely

    • HVAC Project Execution & Commissioning Training

    • OEM advanced HVAC certifications

    • Basic Project Management training


    Job Experience Required:

    • 6 – 10 years of relevant HVAC experience

    • Strong exposure to projects, SLA operations, and critical infrastructure

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 1. Project Planning & Site Execution

    • Supervise HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning activities

    • Plan daily and weekly site activities and manpower deployment

    • Ensure execution as per drawings, BOQs, schedules, and method statements

    • Coordinate material availability, logistics, and site readiness

    • Prepare sites for inspections, testing, and handovers

    2. Technical Oversight & Engineering Support

    • Review HVAC drawings, specifications, and method statements

    • Resolve complex technical and site-related issues

    • Ensure correct implementation of redundancy and cooling design intent

    • Support design clarifications and technical approvals

    • Guide senior technicians on critical systems

    3. SLA & Operations Management

    • Ensure SLA compliance for operational sites

    • Manage breakdown escalations and downtime incidents

    • Review preventive maintenance effectiveness

    • Monitor system performance, uptime, and fault trends

    • Coordinate emergency response and corrective actions

    4. Team Leadership & Site Management

    • Lead technicians, helpers, and subcontractors at site

    • Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and enforce discipline

    • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings

    • Identify training needs and skill gaps

    • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams

    5. Client, Safety & Quality Management

    • Act as primary site-level technical contact for clients

    • Support audits, inspections, and technical meetings

    • Enforce HSE, electrical safety, and quality standards

    • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping

    • Represent Fortek professionally at all sites

Reporting Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)

  • Daily Reporting:
    Daily Tasks:

    Review site progress, manpower deployment, and safety compliance
    Validate daily work logs, maintenance entries, and breakdown reports in Odoo
    Track SLA response and resolution timelines
    Report risks, issues, or deviations to management
    Coordinate with clients and internal teams

    Weekly Reporting:
    Weekly Tasks:

    Prepare and submit weekly progress and SLA performance reports
    Review preventive maintenance execution and pending tasks
    Conduct safety and quality reviews
    Verify material consumption and site inventory
    Participate in planning and coordination meetings

    Monthly Reporting:
    Monthly Tasks:

    Prepare monthly HVAC performance, SLA, and site progress reports
    Review asset health, downtime trends, and root cause analysis
    Support client reviews, audits, and management reporting
    Evaluate team performance and training requirements
    Ensure accuracy of asset, project, and maintenance data in Odoo
