Job Description:
The Supervisor – MEP plays a critical on-ground leadership role in the execution, supervision, and quality assurance of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) works across Fortek’s projects, with a strong focus on data center, ICT infrastructure, and mission‑critical facilities. This role bridges planning and execution by ensuring that both Passive and Active MEP systems are installed, tested, and maintained in strict compliance with approved designs, safety standards, and service-level commitments. The position requires a hands-on professional with strong supervisory capability, deep understanding of MEP systems, and experience working in high‑availability environments such as data centers, enterprise ICT deployments, and infrastructure projects. The Supervisor – MEP is responsible for managing technicians, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring timely, defect‑free delivery of work at client sites. Location: Head Office, Islamabad Travel Requirement: Candidate must be willing to travel to Project Sites nationwide as per business requirements.

Education & Technical Background
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (preferred)
Technical certification in MEP, Electrical, or HVAC trades is an advantage
Preferred Certifications
IOSH / Basic HSE Certification
Electrical Safety Training
OEM training exposure (UPS/Generator/ATS)
AutoCAD reading capability
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of electrical power systems installations
Knowledge of active and passive infrastructure systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and BOQs
Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting practices

Job Experience Required:
- 5–7 years of relevant hands‑on experience in Data Center MEP execution and supervision

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution
Supervise day‑to‑day execution of MEP works including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, earthing, and plumbing systems
Ensure correct implementation of drawings, method statements, and technical specifications
Monitor workmanship quality and adherence to installation best practices for both Passive & Active systems
Coordinate site activities to avoid clashes between MEP, ICT, and civil works
Ensure readiness of sites for inspections, testing, and client handovers
2. Active & Passive Systems Oversight
Supervise installation and termination of power distribution systems (UPS, PDUs, DBs, cabling, ATS, generators interfaces)
Oversee deployment of active systems such as precision cooling, sensors, monitoring systems, and BMS interfaces
Ensure passive works including containment systems, trays, conduits, grounding, and labeling are executed accurately
Verify system integration between electrical, mechanical, and ICT infrastructure
Support commissioning and testing activities (FAT/SAT) alongside engineers
3. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
Lead and supervise MEP technicians, helpers, and subcontracted resources on site
Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity against project schedules
Conduct on‑job coaching to ensure skill development and safety awareness
Enforce discipline, attendance, and compliance with company policies
Act as the first point of escalation for site-level technical or workforce issues
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, site safety plans, and toolbox talks
Identify potential safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Conduct routine quality checks and ensure rectification of snags and punch points
Maintain site records including checklists, inspection reports, and test results
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and mechanical codes and standards
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate closely with project engineers, site managers, and design teams
Liaise with vendors and suppliers for material availability and technical clarifications
Support client representatives during site inspections and audits
Ensure smooth coordination between HO planning teams and site execution teams
Provide timely updates on site progress, challenges, and risks
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily site logs, progress reports, and manpower records
Assist in preparation of method statements, work permits, and as‑built drawings
Track material consumption and report shortages or discrepancies
Support project close‑out documentation and handover packages
Ensure all documentation is aligned with project and compliance requirements
