Job Description:
The Senior Technician – IT & Network is a key technical execution role responsible for delivering high-quality IT, network, and Data Center infrastructure works at client sites. The position requires strong hands-on expertise in structured cabling systems and solid working knowledge of active network components, with the ability to execute tasks independently and guide junior technicians and helpers. This role operates in mission-critical, ICT Infrastructure build-up (Data Centers) & SLA-driven environments where quality, safety, documentation, and timelines are paramount. The Senior Technician is expected to act as a technical backbone on site, ensuring installations meet approved standards, drawings, and client expectations while supporting supervisors and engineers in smooth project execution. Location: Head Office, Islamabad Travel Requirement: Candidate must be willing to travel to Project Sites nationwide as per business requirements.

Intermediate with strong relevant experience may be considered
Certifications (Preferred)
CCNA or equivalent networking certification
Structured Cabling / Data Center Technician certifications
Fiber Optic Technician or Splicing certifications
OEM technical trainings related to networking or systems
Other Skills & Competencies
Strong hands‑on skills in structured cabling and passive infrastructure
Working knowledge of enterprise IT and network systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings and layouts
Troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability
Team guidance and on‑site coordination skills
Strong focus on quality, safety, and documentation
Willingness to travel across Pakistan as per business needs
Job Experience Required:
4–6 years of relevant IT, Network, and Data Center infrastructure experience
Proven hands‑on experience in structured cabling and on‑site ICT installations
Experience working in project‑based or SLA‑driven environments is highly preferred
Duties & Responsibilities

1. Passive Infrastructure Execution (Structured Cabling & DC Works)
Execute end‑to‑end structured cabling works including UTP, fiber optic (single‑mode & multi‑mode), and backbone cabling
Perform rack installation, containment systems, ladder trays, cable trays, grounding, and bonding works
Carry out professional cable dressing, labeling, and tagging as per standards
Perform fiber splicing coordination, termination, and basic OTDR/Power Meter testing support
Ensure installations strictly follow approved drawings, layouts, and technical standards
2. Active IT & Network Infrastructure Support
Install, mount, and patch network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless equipment
Support server installation, basic hardware configuration, and connectivity checks
Perform patching, port mapping, and basic configuration under engineer guidance
Assist in system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
Support integration of monitoring and management systems where required
3. Site Coordination & Team Guidance
Guide and supervise junior technicians and helpers during site activities
Allocate daily tasks to assigned resources as instructed by supervisors
Ensure discipline, productivity, and safe working practices on site
Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site
Act as a point of reference for technical clarifications at site level
4. Quality Assurance, Testing & Handover Support
Ensure first‑time‑right installations to minimize rework and snags
Conduct and record cable testing results (copper & fiber) as per checklists
Support FAT, SAT, inspections, and client walk‑throughs
Rectify snags and punch‑list items within agreed timelines
Assist in preparation of test reports and handover documentation
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
Strictly follow HSE policies, site safety plans, and toolbox talks
Ensure proper use of PPE by self and team members
Identify and report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents
Ensure housekeeping, cable management, and worksite cleanliness
Support a zero‑incident safety culture across all sites
6. Documentation, Tools & Material Control
Maintain accurate daily site activity records
Ensure tools, testers, and equipment are properly handled and maintained
Support material tracking, reconciliation, and inventory updates
Assist supervisors in maintaining site checklists and records
Ensure documentation accuracy and readiness for audits or inspections
