Job Description:

The Helper Technician – Electrical (Data Center Infrastructure) supports senior technicians and supervisors in the installation, cabling, material handling, and safety compliance of electrical and critical power systems including UPS, LV panels, generators, ATS, and grounding systems.

This is a field-based technical support role designed to build foundational skills in data center electrical environments while maintaining strict discipline, safety compliance, and quality standards.

Job Location: Head Office Islamabad.
Travel Requirement: Frequent travel to client sites across Pakistan (Mandatory as per business needs)

Job Requirements


  • Skills & Tools:

    Educational Qualifications

    • Trade Certification in Electrical Technology

    • DAE Electrical (Preferred)

    Preferred Certifications

    • Basic Electrical Safety Training
    • Basic HSE Awareness
    • First Aid Awareness

    Other Key Skills

    Technical (Basic Level):

    • Basic electrical tools handling

    • Understanding of cable types

    • Basic safety awareness

    Job Experience Required:

    Fresh – 2 Years (DAE Electrical Preferred)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 1. Installation Support & Site Assistance

    • Assist technicians in cable pulling and routing.

    • Support installation of cable trays and ladder systems.

    • Help in positioning electrical panels and equipment.

    • Assist in mounting supports and brackets.

    • Maintain clean and organized work areas.

    • Provide tools and materials to technicians as required.

    2. Electrical Cabling Assistance

    • Support cable cutting, stripping, and preparation.

    • Assist in cable dressing and labeling.

    • Help maintain proper segregation of power and control cables.

    • Organize cables prior to termination.

    • Support basic crimping preparation under supervision.

    3. Material Handling & Site Logistics

    • Receive and shift materials safely at site.

    • Maintain proper storage of electrical equipment.

    • Protect sensitive equipment from dust/damage.

    • Assist in material counting and verification.

    • Support inventory tracking under Supervisor guidance.

    4. Safety Compliance & Discipline

    • Strictly follow PPE requirements.

    • Assist in maintaining safe working environment.

    • Follow instructions related to LOTO and electrical isolation.

    • Avoid unsafe lifting or cable handling practices.

    • Immediately report hazards to Supervisor.

    • Maintain personal discipline and punctuality.

    5. Learning & Skill Development

    • Observe installation and termination techniques.

    • Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.

    • Learn basic drawing reading skills.

    • Develop understanding of UPS, LV panels, ATS basics.

    • Improve tool handling and measurement skills.

    • Actively seek technical guidance from seniors.

    6. Documentation & Reporting Support

    • Assist in maintaining daily work logs.

    • Support manpower attendance tracking.

    • Help maintain site cleanliness for inspections.

    • Assist in basic documentation filing.
