The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Fortek plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical solutions and our clients’ business needs. As a TAM, you will work closely with our sales, technical, and support teams to provide exceptional service to our clients, ensuring they get the most out of our products and services. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, delivering technical solutions, and managing the pre & post-sales relationship to foster long-term partnerships. This role demands a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and strong customer relationship abilities.

    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies, conduct market research, and negotiate profitable deals.

    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, Data Center design, electrical systems, and experience with OEMs like APC, Vertiv, and Huawei.

    • Proven experience in managing complex technical projects, particularly those involving Data Centers.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in the context of Data Center design and electrical issues.

    •        High level of integrity and professionalism, commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

       


    Job Experience Required:

    Min. 5 years in a technical account management related role, preferably in the IT infrastructure or services industry

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers as part of the pre-sales and post-sales procedures.

    Keep track of metrics on sales performance for the team.

    Work with clients to ensure their understanding of the usage of products.

    Assist developers with customers’ suggestions and feedback to help determine potential new products and features.

    Respond to all product-related inquiries on time.

    Report levels of performance and status of the products and their sales periodically to upper management.

    Assess customers’ wants and needs to recommend updates or additional features to the development team.

    Ensure the sales department brings in new clients and improves sales figures.

    Identify ways to minimize expenses and other sales or sales support costs.

    Assist consumers with technical requests and resolve any technical issues that arise.

    Establish strong customer relationships, particularly with key stakeholders and sponsors.

Reporting Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)

  • Daily Reporting:
    • Respond to client queries and provide technical support, particularly related to Data Center design and electrical issues.
    • Collaborate with the sales team on new opportunities, offering insights on OEM solutions and pricing.
    • Update project management tools with the latest client interactions and project statuses.

    Weekly Reporting:
    • Conduct regular check-ins with assigned clients to review ongoing projects, particularly those involving complex Data Center designs, and address any concerns.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Participate in internal sales meetings to discuss client feedback and identify new business opportunities, offering pricing insights.

    Monthly Reporting:
    • Prepare and present client status reports to management, highlighting progress on Data Center projects and OEM interactions.
    • Review and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Plan and execute client satisfaction surveys or feedback sessions, focusing on Data Center and electrical system performance.
