Job Description:

The Junior IT Technician is responsible for supporting the IT department in maintaining the organization’s computer systems, networks, and other technologies. The role involves providing technical support to users, assisting in hardware and software installations, and troubleshooting IT-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

    Skills and tools:
    Experience with ticketing/helpdesk systems.

    Basic knowledge of Active Directory and user management.

    Familiarity with remote desktop tools and IT security best practices.

    Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP, or similar (a plus).

    Required experience:
    Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

    0–2 years of experience in an IT support or technician role.

    Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).

    Familiarity with IT hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.

    Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

    Assist with the setup and support of user accounts, email, and access rights according to IT policies.

    Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, virus scans, and system backups.

    Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure.

    Monitor system performance and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.

    Support in maintaining inventory records of IT equipment and software licenses.

    Assist in the implementation and rollout of new applications and technologies.

    Maintain documentation of incidents, solutions, and user instructions.

    Provide on-site and remote support as needed.

Reporting Responsibilities


  • Reports To: Senior IT Technician or IT Manager.

    Works With: All staff requiring IT assistance.

    Supervises: None (entry-level role).
