Job Description:
The Electrical & Power Technician – Data Center Infrastructure is responsible for hands-on installation, termination, testing, and support of electrical systems including UPS, LV panels, ATS, generators, cable trays, and grounding systems within data center and mission-critical environments. This role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality execution, safe installation practices, and adherence to engineering standards across nationwide project deployments. The role is field-intensive and requires frequent travel across Pakistan based on project assignments.

BS / B-Tech Electrical Engineering (Preferred)

OEM product installation exposure (if available)
Basic Electrical Testing Equipment Handling

Job Experience Required:
2–5 Years (Electrical / Critical Power / Data Center Integrator Side)
Must Have:
Hands-on cable termination experience
Exposure to LV panel installation
Field installation experience
Experience on vendor/integrator side preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
-
1. Electrical Installation & Cabling Works
Install LV panels, distribution boards, and cable trays.
Perform power and control cable pulling.
Execute proper cable glanding and termination.
Install UPS input/output cabling.
Support generator and ATS electrical connections.
Ensure proper cable dressing and labeling.
2. Data Center Power Infrastructure Support
Assist in installation of UPS systems and battery banks.
Support ATS panel installation.
Install grounding and bonding systems.
Assist in earthing pit preparation and testing.
Maintain structured and organized routing in white space environments.
3. Testing & Commissioning Assistance
Assist in insulation resistance (IR) testing.
Support continuity and polarity testing.
Perform basic multimeter checks.
Assist senior engineers during commissioning.
Identify and report installation faults.
4. Drawing Interpretation & Execution Accuracy
Follow approved electrical layouts and SLDs.
Execute works according to BOQ quantities.
Identify site-level discrepancies.
Coordinate corrections with Supervisor/Site Engineer.
Maintain installation compliance with design.
5. Material Handling & Tool Management
Verify materials received at site.
Ensure safe storage of electrical equipment.
Prevent damage or theft of materials.
Maintain personal tool kit properly.
Support material reconciliation at project close.
6. Safety Compliance & Site Discipline
Strictly follow HSE guidelines.
Use PPE at all times.
Follow safe cable pulling and lifting practices.
Maintain housekeeping standards.
Report hazards or unsafe practices immediately.
7. Team Coordination & Reporting
Report daily work completion to Supervisor.
Assist senior technicians when required.
Maintain discipline and punctuality.
Support junior helpers in assigned tasks.
Participate in toolbox talks.
