Job Description:

The PSEB Network Intern will support the IT & Network team in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure. This role provides hands-on exposure to real projects including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and basic networking.

Job Requirements


  • Skills & Tools:
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, LAN/WAN, routing & switching).
    • Strong willingness to learn and work in field environments.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Job Experience Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in IT, Computer Science, Telecom, or related field.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • • Assist in installation and maintenance of passive network components including CCTV cameras, access control devices, copper and fiber optic cabling, connectors, racks, and cabinets.

    • Support cable laying, termination, labeling, and basic testing under supervision.

    • Assist senior technicians in routine inspections and preventive maintenance of network infrastructure.

    • Help in installation and basic configuration of routers, switches, and wireless access points.

    • Participate in troubleshooting network connectivity issues and testing network performance.

    • Provide basic technical support to team members and end-users for connectivity issues.

    • Assist in site surveys and preparation of installation and deployment plans.

    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment delivery and technical assistance when required.

    • Follow safety procedures and company policies during all field and office tasks.

    • Maintain documentation of tasks, equipment, and installation activities.

    • Support network upgrade and expansion activities when assigned.

    Learning Outcomes

    • Hands-on experience with structured cabling and network deployment.

    • Exposure to enterprise networking equipment and security systems.

    • Understanding of network troubleshooting and documentation practices.

    • Experience working in real project environments and team collaboration.
