Job Description:
The Assistant Manager – Projects is responsible for overseeing multiple ICT and Data Center projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards. The role bridges project execution teams, planning engineers, procurement, and commercial stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, structured governance. Head Office (Islamabad) with frequent/occasional travel to project sites across Pakistan.

Qualifications
- BS Engineering (Electrical / Telecom / IT / Civil) / Project Management
Certifications (Preferred)
- Primavera P6 or MS Project
- PMP (Required)
- ITIL (Advantageous)

ERP familiarity (Odoo preferred)

Job Experience Required:
8–12 years relevant experience in ICT / Data Center / EPC projects

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Multi-Project Governance & Oversight
Monitor health indicators across active projects to ensure timely execution.
Validate milestone achievement before progression to next phase.
Conduct structured project review meetings.
Escalate high-risk issues to senior management.
Ensure projects align with contractual commitments.
2. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
Monitor cost variance against approved budgets.
Validate procurement alignment with financial forecasts.
Identify margin risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
Support financial forecasting exercises.
3. Risk & Compliance Management
Oversee risk registers and mitigation plan implementation.
Ensure governance processes are followed at all stages.
Approve re-baselining where required.
Conduct internal compliance reviews.
4. Leadership & Team Development
Mentor coordinators and planning engineers.
Conduct structured performance reviews.
Drive KPI adherence across projects.
Promote process discipline and documentation culture.
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Engage vendors for performance alignment.
Support contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
Coordinate with Sales and Pre-Sales for smooth project handovers.
Ensure SLA compliance in ongoing deployments.
6. Executive Reporting & Strategic Support
Present portfolio performance to senior leadership.
Recommend corrective strategies for underperforming projects.
Support resource capacity planning.
Contribute to PMO maturity development.
