Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Description:

• Lead and oversee the Pre-Sales team’s activities related to Data Center solutions.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify potential clients and market opportunities.
• Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs and preferences.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during client interactions.
• Coordinate with OEM, vendors and partners to ensure the availability of products and services.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable deals.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Pre Sales team, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Data Center solutions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

    Job Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a Pre Sales or Sales role, preferably in the Data Center industry

    • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding Pre-Sales targets and objectives

    • Experience in leading and managing a high-performing sales team

    • Proven ability to develop and execute effective Pre-Sales strategies

    • Familiarity with market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs assessment
    • Must have certifications for Data Center Design and from Uptime TIA

Reporting Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)

  • Daily Reporting:
    • Provide a summary of client interactions and discussions.
    • Update project pipeline and progress on ongoing deals.
    • Report any challenges or obstacles encountered during client engagements.

    Weekly Reporting:
    • Review sales targets with sales team and achievements for the week.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities.

    Monthly Reporting:
    • Compile a comprehensive overview of sales performance for the month.
    • Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Provide recommendations for improving sales processes and strategies.
