Job Description:

The Electrical & Power Technician – Data Center Infrastructure is responsible for hands-on installation, termination, testing, and support of electrical systems including UPS, LV panels, ATS, generators, cable trays, and grounding systems within data center and mission-critical environments.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality execution, safe installation practices, and adherence to engineering standards across nationwide project deployments. The role is field-intensive and requires frequent travel across Pakistan based on project assignments.

Job Location: Head Office Islamabad

Travel Requirements: Frequent nationwide travel is required based on project assignments.

  • Skills & Tools:
    The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDUs), generators, switchgear, and lighting systems. They should be proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. A solid understanding of safety protocols, electrical codes, and integrated MEP operations is essential. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with HVAC and mechanical teams and the ability to work with third-party contractors and vendors.

    Job Experience Required:
    Candidates should have hands-on experience working in a data center or other critical infrastructure environment. Experience in maintaining, repairing, and commissioning electrical systems is required, along with the ability to respond effectively to electrical faults and emergencies. Familiarity with MEP systems and coordination with multidisciplinary teams will be considered a strong asset

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Data Center Electrical Technician is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance on key electrical equipment, including UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and switchgear. They must troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to ensure minimal downtime and maintain continuous operations. The technician will assist in the installation and commissioning of new infrastructure, monitor system performance, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards. They are also expected to maintain detailed logs and records, coordinate with HVAC and mechanical staff, support third-party maintenance activities, and contribute to site improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.

Reporting Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)

  • Daily Reporting:
    The technician will provide daily reports on maintenance activities, faults addressed, and immediate system concerns. Weekly reporting will involve summaries of system performance, preventive maintenance progress, and coordination updates. On a monthly basis, comprehensive reports on equipment health, completed inspections, and recommendations for upgrades or improvements will be submitted to the management team.
