Job Description:
The Helper Technician (Networks) will play a crucial role in supporting technical operations and projects within the Networks & Security stream at Fortek Private Limited. Working under the supervision of senior technicians and project managers, the incumbent will assist in various technical tasks to ensure the smooth functioning and successful implementation of network infrastructure projects.

• Diploma (DAE) in Networks & Security (Certification in networking-CCENT or equivalent is preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of applicable basic network tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assistance in Network Infrastructure Projects:
- Provide assistance in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and infrastructure.
- Assist in deploying network solutions according to project requirements and specifications.
- Support senior technicians in troubleshooting network issues and resolving technical challenges.
Equipment Handling and Inventory Management:
- Assist in handling and organizing network equipment, tools, and materials.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure the availability of required equipment for projects.
- Support in tracking equipment usage and replenishing supplies as needed.
Cable Management and Wiring:
- Aid in cable management tasks, including cable routing, labeling, and termination.
- Assist in installing and securing network cables according to industry standards and project guidelines.
- Support in testing and certifying network cables for connectivity and performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including tasks performed and time spent.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the supervisor, highlighting completed tasks and ongoing activities.
- Assist in generating documentation related to network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Reporting Responsibilities

Fill Timesheets on FRT’s CRM, submit daily progress reports to the supervisor, detailing tasks completed, and any issues encountered. Update task lists and work schedules as directed by the supervisor.
Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss project updates and identify upcoming tasks.
Assist in compiling weekly activity reports summarizing achievements and challenges faced during the week.
Contribute to monthly project reviews by providing insights into completed tasks, project milestones, and areas for improvement.
Assist in preparing monthly performance reports, highlighting individual contributions to project objectives.
